Disinfection: It is the process of killing or stopping the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms other than bacterial endospores in the inanimate environment. The substances used for this purpose are called disinfectants.

Nanoksia Disinfectant contains no chemicals in its formula. It is Vegan and eco-friendly. It is natural, and synthesized by plant extracts. We use certified, high purity silver (999.9), that is supplied only from companies approved by ECHA.

Through our innovative technique, silver is stabilized and reduced to nanoscale by using plant extracts during synthesis instead of harsh chemicals. As a result, our product does not cause any harm to the environment while maintaining its effectiveness.

Yes. As the size of the particle decreases, the surface area increases. In turn, an effective area to eliminate microorganisms increases. Thanks to the nano-sized silvers in our formula, our products are more effective in eliminating harmful pathogens.

ECHA states that silver below 50 ug/L has no toxic effects on fish. The silver content of Nanoksia Disinfectant is only 0.5 ug/L. As such, Nanoksia Disinfectant is not a subject to aquatic toxicity classification with its silver content.

Plant extracts and proportions used in the production of Nanoksia Disinfectant are only responsible for reducing silver to nanoscale and stabilizing it. The size and stability of our colloidal silver are optimized with our plant-based method, and its bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal effect is enhanced.

Nanoksia Disinfectant’s safety has been tested and proven by accredited laboratories, which have concluded that Nanoksia Disinfectant does not cause respiratory toxicity or skin irritation.

According to WHO guidelines, there is no limit to the amount of silver used in disinfectants. According to several agencies, silver is safe to be consumed daily. NOAEL (No-observed-adverse-eect level) for silver in drinking water is up to 0.1 mg/L over 70 years of 2 L/day consumption. The EPA (U.S.A. Environmental Protection Agency) has specified the amount that an individual can take on a daily basis based on body weight. According to the EPA, it is safe to consume 0.005 mg/kg of silver daily.

Stability of Nanoksia Disinfectant is provided by plant extracts through our innovative and patented technique. It has been proven that there are no stability problems in Nanoksia Disinfectant products.

Nanosilver in Nanoksia Disinfectant is less than 25 nanometers. These nanosilver particles cross the cell walls of the bacteria and microbes to denature the DNA in the cell membrane and prevent reproduction. When the cell wall is destroyed, microbes are prevented from multiplying. Destroying the cell walls of microbes also prevents them from acquiring resistance to nano-silver. On the other hand, silver does not interact with human cells and has no toxicity on humans. It prevents them from gaining immunity. Silver; it does not react with any cells due to the cell structure in the human body. It does not cause any harm since it does not react with the cell. That’s why; It is accepted that nanosilver does not harm multi-celled organisms.

The nanoscale where silver is lowered is important for it to enter through the cell membrane. The size of nanosilver in Nanoksia Disinfectant is less than 25 nanometers.

Silver is a transition element, it is not classified as a heavy metal by scientific authorities.

The studies completed by ECHA (European Chemicals Agency – European Chemicals Agency – https://echa.europa.eu/) stated that silver does not cause cancer.

As the safety of processes for silver acquisition increases, so does the quality of the silver itself. The silver used in many existing products is in the form of nitrate salt which makes these products more harmful. This increases the harmfulness of the product. Nanoksia Disinfectant uses only certified, high purity silver (999.9) from companies approved by ECHA (European Chemicals Agency – European Chemicals Agency – https://echa.europa.eu/).

Nanotech products developed by nanotechnology containing chemicals such as Dimethyloctadecyl ((3-trimethoxysilyl) propyl), ammonium chloride (quaternary ammonium compound) as active ingredient and Amines coco alkyldimethyl, 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane as excipient has dermal, ocular and respiratory toxicity.

In-vivo and in-vitro tests of Dimethyloctadecyl ((3- trimethoxysilyl)propyl) with ammonium chloride indicated that these materials cause serious irritation on both skin and eyes even at 0.1 ml concentration, therefore they were identified to be classified as Category-2 irritant. (ECHA)

Inhalation and contact of products containing these active substances have highly toxic effects on humans. It has also been proven that these active substances are not biodegradable as previously suggested. Biodegradation rate of 3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl dimethyloctadecylammonium chloride (CAS no. 27668 -52 -6) in various microorganism populations was calculated by ECHA, EPI suite, 2016 (Estimation Programs Interface Suite), and it was concluded that the product is not biodegradable. Another finding of the study suggests that the product accumulates in sediment and becomes harmful for bottom organisms.

FDA and EPA approval of quaternary ammonium compounds does not prove the safety of the product. On the contrary many quaternary ammonium compounds are on the list of banned materials.

Categorizing these substances as “safe active substance” is completely false and deceiving. It has been proven that this compound causes respiratory irritation and even asthma. On the contrary, silver-based products are one of the four active substances considered safe by the EPA.

Amines coco alkyldimethyl, used as an excipient, causes serious skin burns, ocular damage and is classified as extremely toxic for aquatic ecosystems.

Products containing Hazard Statement Codes such as; H315, H400, H410, H319 and H315 on their labels or SDS certificates seem to be benign to the untrained eye, however, data strongly proves that these products are neither safe nor environmental.

Hydrogen peroxide is a substance that has a limited shelf life. Once opened, it loses its effectiveness in a short time, this causes stability problems in the products that contain it as an active ingredient.

Nanoksia Disinfectant stays stable as it is synthesized by plant extracts. It does not lose its effect when its cover is opened.

Hydrogen chloride is a powder, but when mixed with water it turns into hydrochloric acid. Chlorine that is found in it, is among the chemicals that have been abandoned from use recently. Inhaling these disinfectants is known to cause damage to the respiratory tract and increases the risk of suffering from respiratory illnesses, such as asthma.
