What is nano silver? And what is used for?2020-04-24T15:29:36+00:00

Nano Silver particles; It crosses the cell wall of the bacteria and microbe it encounters and disrupts the DNA of the microbe and bacteria in the cell membrane and prevents its reproduction. Since the cell wall is torn, they are prevented from multiplying. It prevents them from gaining immunity. Silver; it does not react with any cells due to the cell structure in the human body. It does not cause any harm since it does not react with the cell. That’s why; It is accepted that nanosilver does not harm multi-celled organisms.

The nanoscale where silver is lowered is important for it to enter through the cell membrane. The size of nanosilver in Nanoksia Disinfectant is less than 25 nanometers.

Is ionic silver or nano silver more safer?2020-04-24T16:13:06+00:00

What is the difference between Nanoksia Disinfectant and others?2020-04-24T16:11:00+00:00

Nanoksia Disinfectant contains no chemicals in its formula. It is 100% vegan and eco-friendly. It is natural, and synthesized by plant extracts. We use certified, high purity silver (99.999%), that is supplied only from companies approved by ECHA.

Through our innovative technique, silver is stabilized and reduced to nanoscale by using plant extracts during synthesis instead of harsh chemicals. As a result, our product does not cause any harm to the environment while maintaining its effectiveness.

Why is Nanoksia Disinfectant safer than the other nanotechnological products containing chemicals?2020-04-24T15:13:58+00:00

Products developed by nanotechnology containing chemicals such as Dimethyloctadecyl ((3-trimethoxysilyl) propyl), ammonium chloride (quaternary ammonium compound) as active ingredient and Amines coco alkyldimethyl, 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane as excipient has dermal, ocular and respiratory toxicity.

During the in-vivo and in-vitro tests of Dimethyloctadecyl ((3- trimethoxysilyl)propyl) with ammonium chloride, it was indicated that the materials cause serious irritation on both skin and eye even at 0.1 ml concentration and therefore was identified to be classified as Category-2 irritant. (ECHA)

Inhalation and contact with skin or eye of products containing these active substances cause highly toxic effect. Besides, it is proven that these active substances are not biodegradable as suggested. Biodegradation rate of 3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl dimethyloctadecylammonium chloride (CAS no. 27668 -52 -6) in various microorganism populations was calculated by ECHA, EPI suite, 2016 (Estimation Programs Interface Suite). According to the data received from various modeling in the research, it is identified that the product is not biodegradable. One of the discoveries at this study is that the product piles up in sediment and therefore is harmful for the bottom organisms.

FDA and EPA approval of quaternary ammonium compounds does not prove the safety of the product. On the contrary many quaternary ammonium compounds are in the list of banned materials.

It is proven that any type of this compound cause respiratory irritation and asthma. That is why “safe active substance” statement is totally wrong and deceiving.

Meanwhile, silver based products are one of the four active substances considered safe by EPA.

Apart from the active substance of 3-(Trimethoxysilyl) propyl dimethyloctadecylammonium chloride, Amines coco alkyldimethyl; which is used as an excipient in the formulation, causes serious skin burns, ocular damage and is calssified as extremely toxic for acquatic ecosystems.

As a result, it can easily be identified and understood that products containing harmfulness codes such as H315, H400, H410, H319, H315 on their labels or SDS certificates are not environmental or human friendly.

What is safe silver?2020-04-24T16:05:58+00:00

The quality of silver is determined according to the level of harmfulness of the processes used during its acquisition. The silver used in many existing products is in the form of nitrate salt. This increases the harmfulness of the product. Nanoksia Disinfectant includes only certified, high purity silver (99.999%) from companies approved by ECHA (European Chemicals Agency – European Chemicals Agency – https://echa.europa.eu/).

What are the differences between Nanoksia Disinfectant and other nano silver disinfectants that contain Hydrogen peroxide?2020-04-24T16:09:16+00:00

Hydrogen peroxide is a substance that has a limited shelf life. Once opened, it loses its effectiveness in a short time, this causes stability problems in the products that contain it as an active ingredient.
